120 Progressive Chorales, Warm Ups, and Targeted Exercises for Band

Gary Henderson is the band director at Bowling Green Elementary School in East Meadow, NY. Gary received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Hofstra University and his Master’s Degree in Jazz and Commercial Music from Five Towns College. Gary is the director of the Nassau-Suffolk Performing Arts Youth Band. He is the founder and co-director of The Interplay Jazz Orchestra and the director of the Hofstra University Alumni Jazz Nonet, playing trumpet in both groups. He is co-author of the book "The Prerequisites: A Sequential Method for Beginner Winds", published by Pinnacle Music Press, Inc. In 1997, Gary was nominated for Instrumentalist of the Year as part of the Long Island Music Awards and recognized as a Concert Promoter of the Year by the Long Island Voice for his work with "All-Ages" concert venues for young musicians.
Joey Devassy teaches elementary band in the Oyster Bay-East Norwich school district. His bands have consistently received Gold and Gold with Distinction ratings at annual NYSSMA Major Organization festivals. Mr. Devassy received his Bachelors in Music Ed. From Ithaca College and Masters in Jazz/Commercial music from Five Towns College. He is currently working on a second masters in Jazz performance from Queens College. He is co-leader of the Interplay Jazz Orchestra and was a finalist in the 2002 Eastern Trombone Workshops national competition.
